The "MFC Challenge" contest is an exciting scientific game enabling the Carnot PolyNat laboratories to make progress on the detection and characterisation of Cellulose MicroFibrils (MFC) introduced into materials of varying complexity. The winner will have the immense pleasure of receiving a fun and convivial prize!
The rules of the game are as follows:
Materials: around ten cellulosic materials produced by the CTP and the FCBA.
Number of players: max. 10 candidates from the CARNOT PolyNat laboratories (3SR, CERMAV, DCM, DPM, LGP2, LRP)
Aim of the game: to detect the presence of cellulose microfibrils in a panel of 10 samples of varying complexity.
Objective: to make scientific progress in the detection and characterisation of MFCs.

 Course of the game:
- 17 and 18 July 2024: Presentation of the rules of the "MFC Challenge" game at the PolyNat Days and launch of registrations.
- 1st December 2024: End of registrations to take part in the game
- January to May 2025: Analysis of the samples by the laboratories
- 31 May 2025: Deadline for returning analysis files
- June 2025: Examination of the results by the CTP and selection of the winner
- PolyNat Days 2025: Announcement of the winner and presentation of the prize
