The little story of the pilot
1980’s marked a significant milestone for screening and fractionation studies at CTP. A rotary cleaner was developed and patented. Major studies were launched on better understanding of passage of fibres in a pressure screening system and fractionation in hydrocyclones.Since then, new systems were acquired and additions were made reflecting the progress.
The fractionation equipment were brought together at a single platform at CTP, providing operational flexibility, possibility of large fractions generation and connectivity with cooking, bleaching, refining and recycled fibre plants. New state of the art hydrocylone fractionation pilot were installed. This platform offers the unique possibility to generate fractions based on concept developed at CTP. And the systems are purposefully adapted for easy transportation to client place!

Portable pressure screening system equipped with:
- 3-element solid core and 3-element adjustable gap foil rotor
- Variable frequency drive (50-60Hz)
- Hole cylinder: 0.10mm, 0.15mm, 0.25mm, 0.50mm
- Profiled slot cylinder: 0.10mm
- Flow meters, manual valves, data downloading software
- Flow range: 1m³/h-140 m³/h
- Real-time visualisation of parameters:

- 4-element foil rotor

- Slot cylinder from low profile 0.06mm to 0.20mm
- Hole cylinder: 1.0mm and 1.4mm
