CTP's patent policy?
Always at the service of industry!
The CTP's mission and strategy is to create value in industry through a process of scientific and technological innovation that takes into account the product and market dimensions throughout the development phases. An organization centered around R&D themes and associated projects generates day-to-day results that have a positive impact on our industry in environmental, economic and social terms. These themes give rise to two main types of know-how:
- optimize existing technologies and products,
- imagine, develop and implement radically new technologies that will profoundly change our industry.
The CTP's Intellectual Property (IP) policy was harmonized in 2019, as was the clarification of access rights to results by industrial nationals and/or contractualized in line with this strategy. In addition to ensuring the attractiveness and visibility of CTP's work through active management of its patent portfolio, the policy in place guarantees the industrial exploitation of project results by funders to guarantee them a competitive advantage and maximize their impact.
The CTP's patent portfolio is made up of around a hundred active patents protecting the concepts on which the CTP and its partners are working, within the framework of their research projects.
CTP's patent portfolio comprises some one hundred active patents protecting the concepts on which CTP and its partners are working, in countries where paper production and markets are most important.
