ScreenInk: screen printing
A tool to reproduce your industrial prints in short production runs
- Print on all substrates
- Print using conductive ink (power tracks, RF antennae, hybrid electronic connection, etc.)
- Dielectric ink printing - electroluminescent ink printing (complete solution)
- Application of ink paste
- Graphic printing - exotic printing
The little story of the pilot
In 2015 the CTP acquired a screen printing machine capable of doing short production runs in semi-automatic mode.Although this process is complex, on account of the large number of parameters involved, it does not take very long to master.
It has the advantage of accepting a viscosity range that extends as far as paste enabling thick applications to be obtained!
In addition to the device being fully autonomous, the screen printing process can be included in other processes in the form of a unit in its own right, in both sheet-feed and continuous web (R2R). Thanks to the CTP’s mobile components, it is possible to consider operating with different drying methods
(IR, UV) on industrial equipment that already exists.
Characteristics
Technical characteristics
- Substrates:
* paper, board, plastic, textile
* thicknesses: 30 μm to 10 mm
* formats from 10 x 20 to 40 x 50 cm
* prints up to 21 x 40 cm - Screen:
* all meshes possible
* pattern to be defined depending on the study
* custom-made within 2 to 10 days - Ink types:
* graphic
* functional (barrier, electronic)
* hot air, UV or IR drying - Complex prototyping:
* multi-layer possible
* perfect register between layers
Possible studies
The CTP proposes both theoretical and practical assistance on the topic of screen printing in the form of training (classes and practical workshop).
The equipment in the laboratory can be used for printing whether to test materials (substrates or inks) and/or special conditions (process, drying, environment, etc.) or to do short concept production runs (prototyping for innovation purposes, launch of production for a start-up, etc.)
Drawing on its extensive knowledge of screen printing and other printing techniques, the CTP assists in solving problems related to substrates, inks or processes.
