VFA CONTROL

Acidification control of water circuits

  • Reduce the use of fresh water without damaging process water acidification.
  • Define key operating indicators to limit the negative effect of volatile fatty acids (VFAs) on the process and paper/cardboard quality. 
  • Demonstrate the benefits of different strategies (aeration, mixing, etc.) to limit anaerobic bacterial activity in water circuits. 
  • Improve production yields and paper/cardboard quality
  • Improve site safety by reducing gas emissions (H2, H2S) below toxicity and explosivity thresholds.
