BARALIM
Functional barriers for recycled food packaging
- Identify barrier solutions enabling the use of recycled fibres in packaging dedicated to food contact from a health and regulatory point of view
- Assess the barrier performance to contaminants required for food preservation (dry/fat/wet) under specific storage conditions (time and temperature).
- Assess the permanence of the barrier performance to contaminants during converting (folding, creasing).
- Identify a new fatty food simulant that is more representative and solvent-free for characterising contaminant migration.
- To highlight technically and economically the solutions demonstrating the best performance.
